Margherita: campsite and resort in Valle d' Aosta for your summer and winter holidays in the mountains

Open since 1971, the family-run "Margherita" campsite and resort, in the mountains, is named after Granny Grittle, the Walser name for Margherita. Because, besides being a natural paradise, Gressoney is a synonym of Walser and ancient cultural traditions.

Our resort, situated in a large flat area 1385 m above sea level, is only a stone's throw from the town centre and the Gressoney ski lift facilities (Weissmatten). We are also the nearest campsite to the Monterosa Ski complex.

As we are open all year round, we can accommodate winter sports aficionados (who will find lots of possibilities to have fun: from carving to snowboarding, telemark to freeride, cross-country skiing to ice skating, winter climbing to walking with snowshoes) as well as enthusiasts of trekking at all levels and high altitude ascensions, going as far up as the highest refuges in the Valle d'Aosta and Europe in the summer season.

Who are our clients? Both the resort and the campsite are suitable for many types of clientele: families with small children, groups of friends, couples who are young, or young at heart. What draws them together is the desire for a holiday steeped in relaxation, wellbeing and the invigorating feeling of being in touch with nature.
