This family-run camping site, established in 1971, is named
after grandmother Grittle, which is Margaret in Titsch dialect.
In fact, Gressoney is not only a nature paradise, ideal for
people who love mountains and sports, a place where you can
have fun and relax, but is also a synonym of Walsers and their ancient cultural traditions.
The camping site is in a large level area extending for 20,000 square m on
the banks of the river Lys at an altitude of 1,385 m above sea level. It is
surrounded by delightful cross-country skiing tracks, and only a stone’s
throw away from the characteristic town centre and the Weissmatten ski lifts.
Moreover, it is the camping site nearest to the Monterosa
Ski area (in Gressoney
La Trinité in the district of Staffal) and is an ideal departure point
for many different hikes during the summer.
The camping site has an agreement with the Pré-Saint-Didier Wellness Centre.
